Peace

Last night Mika and I took a walk around the neighborhood just before dark. When we came to a stoplight, there were many people standing with lit candles. It was a peace demonstration coordinated with the others for Wednesday, against the war in Afghanistan. Mika & I stood with these people for a short while. There were tears welling in my eyes, remembering...

It took me back to my young womanhood, and demonstrating against the war in Vietnam. This war has all the earmarks of it. Same arrogant mindset administration who can't see the wrongness of killing our soldiers, of being in a war when we are not wanted, to push our mindset way of life on others who do not want it. This administration is making more enemies than ever for us.

Why must we be so arrogant and stupid enough to repeat history?! 30+ years later and we have another arrogant asshole taking us into war while tearing down our freedoms here at home.
